This is a hard lesson for a lot of people. We have a great set of tools at our disposal with social media. It's hard not to simply use these new tools as another way to promote and get your message out. Instead, we have to engage people in conversation and trust that our content will speak for itself. I was reminded of this today when I dropped just about everything from my mailbox into recycling without it even making it into the house. Why? I'm bombarded by over-communication every single day. Helping people find the next step and involving them in the conversation through an excellent product that "sells" itself is the only way to go. Chuck, great blog.
