I've always liked the idea of being a reductionist, but it's extremely difficult in application. In regards to the church, with the body of Christ all under one roof, it's hard to have one specific focus with so many different ideas. I was always impressed by the church in Georgia that has put out several full feature films including Fireproof and others...I think that it's cool that their local body has all signed on to one vision of what their church will do. I do think that the body is rendered ineffective when chasing after many thoughts/ideas, but the key must be a visionary whom can focus the church in a manner in which people can grow spiritually and still follow a vision.
